We love spotlighting our Donors!!!
Pictured here are women who reside at The Village at Orchard Ridge (formerly Coeur d’Alene Homes Assisted Living/Memory Care) in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A group of about 15 ladies meet several times a month to clip coupons for the Coups for Troops organization and have been doing so for almost three years. This time together is a win-win—for these residents and their “adopted” military families. The women spend time together visiting with friends while clipping coupons, an activity which brings them great purpose and joy. Highlights are when they receive messages and pictures from their adopted military families, who say how much they enjoy receiving packages and notes from their friends “back home.”
Thank you so much The Village @ Orchard Ridge for your support of Coups For Troops & our military families!! They currently support two military families each month!
Stephanie Lener, and her husband Steve, has worked so hard for Coups For Troops over the years. She stepped up when the original founder needed someone to help, she worked to improve and grow the program in so many ways. She has sent emails until her fingers ached, cut coupons, checked expiration dates until her eyes crossed, and smiled each time a package was sent to a military family. The hours she devoted have been incredible and the work she has done has touched so many families. Steve became our “official Tech Guy” by working on the database and website to keep us moving forward.
Because of their work, Coups For Troops has reached new heights in the number of people we can help, which is why this announcement comes with a heavy heart. Effective Nov 3rd, Stephanie and Steve have decided it’s time to step back. Due to job changes, Steve has relocated and Stephanie will soon be doing so as well. We understand their decision and we are saddened to see them leave the Admin Staff, but of course, we wish them the very best.

It has came to our attention that there’s a problem with our website forms not being received in a timely matter. We are aware of this situation and are working on a solution. Your submissions are NOT lost. We found them and will be processing them. Please do not resubmit at this time as it will lead to duplicates. If you submitted a form and have not heard from us, we will be in contact you within the next week.

It has come to our attention that someone has created a GoFundMe account and is using our logo to request postage funds. This person is NOT associated with Coups For Troops, as a volunteer or Donor. She is sending coupons to PX stores, which we do not do. Our coupons arrive to a military family home so they can plan their trip! Please be cautious when donating your funds.
Coups For Troops is excited to announce a recent change to their administrative staff. Coups for Troops was originally founded by a stay at home Mom who wanted to help support US Military families. Once she learned that US Military personnel and their families can use US coupons up to 6 months after they had expired, she knew she could help reduce their coupons bills by sending her expired coupons! Since April 2011, Coups For Troops has grown to serving over 900 Military families in 11 different countries, and literally thousands of US volunteers.
Coups For Troops is run entirely by volunteers, and it’s administrative staff is roughly 3 full time mothers, Stephanie Lener (New York), Kerry Rich (Florida) and Lisa Brown (Indiana). These 3 ladies put in hours of their time answering emails, matching donors with military families, and supporting our various satellite and drop off locations. This is easily a full time job for these hard working ladies! As life flows and bumps, changes need to be made to keep the volunteer spirit alive and help the organizations move forward. Stephanie Lener has served as Director of Coups For Troops and under her direction the Direct Mail program has grown, the hits on the website increased and we have a new database system for tracking within the program. Stephanie has been a wonderful access to the mission, but as life happens, Stephanie has asked to slow down. She’s not leaving Coups For Troops Admin Team, but she decided to pass some of the administrative duties off to give herself some much needed downtime. So, we would like to announce that as of Aug 1st, Lisa Brown will be stepping up as Director of Coups For Troops.
Lisa came to the group as a satellite location back in late 2011, then joined the administrative staff in Fall 2013. She has helped as the Large Donor Coordinator since that time. “I’m excited at this opportunity and also humbled that Stephanie trusts me to take on such a worthy cause. I hope to see Coups For Troops to continue to grow under my leadership, and see us take the next steps to become a federally recognized non-profit organization,” said Brown.
Stephanie Lener will continue as the Direct Mail Coordinator, while Kerry Rich continues as Coups For Troops Media Coordinator. We will also be looking for 1-2 additional staff members who are interested and willing to devote their time for this clause. We plan to apply as a non-profit organization and seek 501(c)3 status. It’s our goal that no coupons be lost, but each one goes to help a Military family! If you are interested in joining our staff, please send an email to email@example.com. This is an unpaid, purely volunteer position.
Join us as we welcome Lisa Brown to this new role!
Good Morning CFTers! We are growing again! A couple of weeks ago we launch a new direct mail database. This database will help us be more efficient in matching/tracking military families and donors. For the next few weeks we will be converting over to the new system. We ask that you be patient with us as we convert over to our new system. Direct mail matches may take a little long than usually as we work the bugs out. Thank you for your continued support! Steph
